Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads using straps and chains.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere strictly to Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Represent the RoadRunner Logistics brand professionally, maintaining a clean and safe driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT physical examination certificate.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, safety procedures, and cargo handling.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
