Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently on various job sites, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Load & Unload: Safely load and unload materials (sand, gravel, dirt, asphalt) using forklifts, skid steers, and manual methods.
- Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal working condition; report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Route Planning: Navigate complex job sites and routes in Albuquerque and surrounding areas, ensuring timely delivery of materials.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and cargo weight as required by federal and state regulations.
- Site Safety: Promote and adhere to OSHA safety standards and company policies on all job sites.
Qualifications
- CDL Required: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving abstract.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy equipment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with dump truck operations, hydraulics, and basic maintenance.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
