Role Overview:
As a Remote Trucking Dispatcher, you will act as the critical bridge between our shippers, carriers, and drivers. You will manage freight loads, ensure timely deliveries, and maintain excellent customer relationshipsāall from your home office.
Responsibilities
- Dispatch freight loads to qualified carriers and drivers efficiently.
- Maintain constant communication with drivers regarding route changes, delays, and pickup/delivery times.
- Process billing and documentation accurately and in a timely manner to ensure compliance.
- Resolve customer service inquiries and freight claims efficiently to maintain high satisfaction rates.
- Monitor driver compliance and ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
- Optimize load planning to reduce costs and improve overall fleet efficiency.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure seamless freight movement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associateās degree in Logistics or related field preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or dispatching is highly preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and dispatch software (e.g., Omni, McLeod, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with high attention to detail.
- Valid driverās license is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving abilities under pressure.
