Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Safely operate dump trucks to transport loose materials (sand, gravel, dirt) to and from construction sites and job locations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues immediately to ensure fleet safety.
- Loading & Unloading: Secure loads properly and ensure materials are dumped at the designated location without spillage or damage.
- Schedule Adherence: Adhere to assigned routes and schedules, maintaining punctuality to meet project deadlines.
- Compliance: Strictly follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with dispatch and site managers regarding location status and any delays.
Qualifications
- CDL Requirement: Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with appropriate endorsements.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience driving dump trucks or heavy equipment.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy loads and working in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to use two-way radios or mobile devices.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or early mornings if required by the schedule.
