Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over the road (OTR) to deliver freight on time and within company policies.
- Inspect and perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment to prevent damage.
- Adhere to strict schedules and route planning to meet customer delivery deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, professional image while representing the company at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding cargo status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Strong knowledge of highway maps, traffic patterns, and navigation systems.
- Physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling cargo of varying weights.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work flexible hours and manage time effectively.
