Responsibilities
- Transport materials (sand, gravel, dirt) to and from job sites efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks using skid steers, forklifts, or hand tools.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and adhere to all DOT regulations.
- Communicate clearly with site supervisors regarding job progress and any hazards.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean, organized, and mechanically sound.
- Drive defensively in all weather conditions and traffic situations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Familiarity with logging software and DOT compliance requirements.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for basic truck maintenance.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
