Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport loose materials (sand, gravel, dirt, asphalt) to and from job sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload materials safely using forklifts, backhoes, or manual labor.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and mileage.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving dump trucks or heavy equipment.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screening and physical examination.
- Knowledge of local San Jose routes and traffic patterns.
- Physically fit to handle loading/unloading duties.
