Responsibilities
- Operate heavy dump trucks to transport materials (aggregates, soil, rocks) to and from job sites.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Load and unload materials safely using standard loading equipment and techniques.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and route modifications.
- Keep the cab and truck bed clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate class and endorsements (Class A or B preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks or heavy commercial vehicles.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of standard safety regulations, traffic laws, and vehicle handling.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy loads and working in various weather conditions.
