Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport construction materials, aggregates, and debris to and from job sites.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to weight restrictions and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, mileage records, and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site supervisors to coordinate schedules and route changes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times to ensure a zero-accident workplace.
- Perform basic routine maintenance on the vehicle, such as checking tire pressure and fluid levels.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Current DOT Medical Card (or the ability to obtain one prior to starting).
- Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and operating heavy machinery for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends as needed.
