Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty commercial trucks (Class A) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Transport goods across the Midwest and beyond while adhering to all traffic laws.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs and records as required by DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR or local driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules and occasional weekends.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor truck maintenance.
