Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across the region while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Load and secure cargo according to weight limits and safety standards to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and required paperwork (Bill of Lading, delivery receipts).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any route changes.
- Uphold a clean driving record and demonstrate a commitment to company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the necessary endorsements.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) or ability to obtain one.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (long-haul preferred).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS), and general safety procedures.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
