Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on local and regional routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding delivery status and delays.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license (or Commercial Learner's Permit with current eligibility).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to work rotating weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).
- Basic math skills for making change and reading scales.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to work overtime during peak seasons if required.
