Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks and vans on local and regional routes across Raleigh, NC and Virginia.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper securing and handling of freight.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery logs, mileage, and fuel consumption using ELD or paper logs.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients by adhering to scheduled delivery times and professional conduct.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and support teams regarding route changes or delays.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL License required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays if required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle maintenance checks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
