Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks, flatbeds, dry vans) following DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries across Louisiana and surrounding states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance
- Load/unload freight using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and electronic logging devices
- Strong time management and customer service skills
