Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely drive 18-wheelers and tractor-trailers to deliver freight across the region.
- Fleet Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Cargo Handling: Load and unload cargo securely, verifying manifests and handling freight with care.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery paperwork.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Customer Service: Represent Pacific Coast Transport professionally while interacting with clients and drivers.
Qualifications
- CDL Class A License: Must hold a valid US Commercial Driver's License.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major violations (DUI, Reckless Driving, etc.) within the last 3 years.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the USA and pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a DOT physical exam; capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Experience: Open to new drivers with a valid CDL and a willingness to learn.
