Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks and commercial motor vehicles (CMV) on various roadways.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using proper lifting techniques and material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and delivery logs.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential issues.
- Keep the vehicle and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A (or B) with required endorsements.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and sit for extended periods.
