Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks over assigned routes in and around Columbus, OH.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and necessary delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license required.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred (OTR or Regional).
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
