Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A) safely and efficiently on highways and local routes.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution and safety regulations are met.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT) and electronic logging device (ELD) records in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to submit to a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and cargo handling procedures.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
