Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) to deliver freight on time and within budget.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Secure cargo properly using straps, chains, and tarps.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and driver's logs (ELD).
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel during loading and unloading.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and safety standards.
- Report mechanical issues to maintenance immediately to ensure vehicle readiness.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and Drug Screen certification.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferred).
- Clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and MVR review.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading cargo.
