Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) safely and efficiently in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety of the cargo and the vehicle.
- Load and unload freight using various equipment (lift gates, pallet jacks) while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen eligibility.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no disqualifying violations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
