Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently to deliver freight throughout the San Francisco metro area and surrounding regions.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring items are protected from damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records in compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with dispatch and clients at delivery locations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately to fleet management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the required endorsements (Hazmat, Doubles/Triples preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience in the last 5 years.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and navigation in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and operating manual transmission trucks.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
