Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry vans, reefers) within California and surrounding states
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate logs (ELD compliant)
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance needs
- Load/unload cargo efficiently with proper equipment handling
- Manage delivery schedules and communicate with dispatch/clients
- Complete required paperwork (BOLs, delivery confirmations)
- Participate in safety training and compliance updates
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years OTR or regional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with California routes and port operations
- Hazmat endorsement preferred (training provided if needed)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend shifts
