Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or Class B) in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight securely, following proper safety protocols and securing cargo.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Navigate routes efficiently to meet strict delivery deadlines and schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and road conditions.
- Basic mechanical skills for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
