Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks in a safe, courteous, and efficient manner on local and regional routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo is secured and protected during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Uphold a professional image and maintain a clean driving record at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate commercial vehicles across state lines.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation and electronic logging devices.
