Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight on assigned regional routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Uphold strict safety standards and secure cargo protocols
- Build strong customer relationships through professional communication
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Chicagoland geography and regional routes
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexibility for early morning start times
