Responsibilities
- Safely load, transport, and unload various materials including dirt, gravel, and asphalt.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the dump truck and trailer.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and complete all necessary DOT paperwork.
- Drive in a professional manner, strictly adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules.
- Ensure cargo is properly secured to prevent shifting during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks or heavy haul vehicles.
- Excellent driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Strong knowledge of weight limits, load securement, and DOT compliance standards.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and handle physical demands of the job.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
