Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and load security.
- Maintain accurate Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) and complete all necessary paperwork accurately.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and negative drug screen results.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to pass a background check and adhere to safety protocols.
