Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers throughout the Boston metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight accurately and securely, adhering to weight limits and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and necessary paperwork in strict accordance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure accident-free operation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and navigate efficiently using GPS and maps.
