Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and delivery schedules
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Resolve delivery exceptions and communicate with clients professionally
- Maintain clean driving record and submit required documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling (HME endorsement preferred)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Washington D.C. residency preferred for local routes
