Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight between San Jose distribution centers and regional destinations
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections, post-trip documentation, and basic preventive maintenance
- Utilize GPS technology for efficient routing and real-time delivery tracking
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and digital manifests using our proprietary fleet management system
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Collaborate with dispatch team for optimal load planning and schedule adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with California traffic laws and mountain driving conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery windows
- Must pass comprehensive background check and MVR verification
