Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) for regional routes within Texas and surrounding states
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Load/unload cargo using pallet jacks and forklift training provided
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Collaborate with team to optimize routes and ensure on-time deliveries
- Represent SwiftHaul professionally with clients and at loading facilities
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate basic loading equipment
- Strong commitment to safety and punctuality
- Basic navigation skills with familiarity with Texas roadways
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional overnight trips
