Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) safely and efficiently to deliver goods to customers across the Columbus metro area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload freight using proper lifting techniques and equipment (hand truck, pallet jack) as required.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT compliant) and daily mileage reports using electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Provide exceptional customer service by adhering to delivery schedules and maintaining a professional demeanor on-site.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle at all times.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no recent DUI, reckless driving, or hit-and-run convictions.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operating standard manual transmission trucks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends as business demands.
