Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks, flatbeds) within Washington DC metropolitan area
- Execute time-sensitive deliveries for government and commercial clients
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system compliance
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and local traffic ordinances
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage paperwork including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Washington DC metropolitan roadways
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
