Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to deliver freight on time.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately and securely.
- Maintain accurate logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with required endorsements.
- A clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks during loading/unloading.
- Willingness to travel throughout Washington DC and North Carolina.
