Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and organs via temperature-controlled vehicles
- Maintain strict chain-of-custody documentation for all sensitive shipments
- Coordinate with hospital labs, clinics, and research facilities for urgent deliveries
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and DOT regulations at all times
- Utilize GPS routing systems for efficient multi-stop delivery routes
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare providers
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years medical courier or healthcare logistics experience
- Valid Missouri driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate temperature-controlled equipment
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Flexibility for on-call shifts and weekend coverage
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling protocols
