Responsibilities
- Securely transport medical specimens, organs, and time-sensitive medications between healthcare facilities
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive materials using specialized equipment
- Document all transfers using HIPAA-compliant tracking systems
- Provide exceptional customer service to medical staff and patients
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and biohazard handling procedures
- Perform vehicle pre/post-trip inspections and maintenance checks
- Optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency and time-sensitive compliance
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical/courier logistics
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled units
- Strong time management and GPS navigation skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and HIPAA compliance awareness
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Background check and drug screening required
