Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, organs, blood products, and pharmaceuticals with strict adherence to temperature control protocols
- Utilize GPS tracking systems to optimize delivery routes and maintain real-time communication with dispatch
- Complete electronic documentation using mobile apps while on route, ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for secure specimen pickups and deliveries using remote check-in protocols
- Perform vehicle inspections and maintenance reporting to ensure operational readiness
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and cold chain equipment during transit
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with flexibility and professionalism
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record and ability to pass background check
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical courier, logistics, or healthcare transport
- Proficient in using mobile apps for route navigation and electronic documentation
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and biohazard handling procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management skills with ability to work independently
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided)
