Responsibilities
- Operate school buses safely and efficiently along designated routes and field trips.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students while boarding, riding, and exiting the bus.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch regarding student behavior and route changes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and school district policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Passenger (P) endorsement and School Bus (S) endorsement.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Excellent driving record with no major violations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to pass a physical examination and maintain fitness for duty.
- Patience, reliability, and a genuine interest in working with children.
