Responsibilities
- Safely transport students on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Maintain orderly conduct on the bus and enforce school district policies
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adapt routes for field trips, athletic events, and special needs students
- Complete accurate daily logs and incident reports
- Ensure emergency equipment (first aid kit, fire extinguisher) is accessible
Qualifications
- Valid Nevada Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger/School Bus endorsements
- Clean driving record (minimum 3 years, no major violations)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Background clearance through FBI and DOJ
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work early morning/afternoon shifts
