Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks and related equipment for material transport on construction sites and urban routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all hauling operations
- Collaborate with site supervisors to coordinate efficient material placement
- Adhere strictly to NYC traffic laws and construction zone safety protocols
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
- Support emergency response operations during inclement weather conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 3 years commercial dump truck experience in urban environments
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate in physically demanding conditions
- Familiarity with NYC construction zones and traffic patterns
- Pass background check and drug screening per federal regulations
- Basic equipment troubleshooting skills
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
