Responsibilities
- Operational Safety: Safely transport goods to designated locations across the District of Columbia and surrounding regions without damage.
- Equipment Care: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the box truck remains in peak mechanical condition.
- Professional Conduct: Deliver a high level of customer service, including professional loading and unloading procedures.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery receipts, bills of lading, and mileage logs in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Route Management: Plan efficient routes to meet tight delivery deadlines while adhering to traffic laws.
Qualifications
- CDL & Equipment: Valid Class B CDL with a clean abstract. You must own a well-maintained, late-model Box Truck (20-26ft preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience as an Owner Operator or professional driver.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Strong communication skills and proficiency with mobile logistics apps.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours and meet delivery schedules consistently.
