Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles to transport freight across the Houston area and beyond.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Maintain accurate logs, mileage records, and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and route changes.
- Uphold a professional image and represent the Swift Logistics brand at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
