Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of buses to ensure mechanical safety
- Maintain a positive and orderly environment on the bus
- Follow strict safety protocols during loading/unloading and emergency procedures
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all traffic laws and district transportation policies
- Complete daily trip logs and incident reports as required
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with P/S endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with wheelchair restraints
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work early morning and afternoon hours
- Previous experience with student transportation preferred
