Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular events
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks
- Maintain accurate student attendance records and route logs
- Enforce bus safety protocols and student conduct policies
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to traffic laws and district safety regulations
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- School Bus Endorsement (S) or ability to obtain within 60 days
- Clean driving record and acceptable background check
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Pass drug screening and physical examination
