Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school, field trips, and extracurricular activities on assigned routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain orderly behavior on the bus
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adapt to route changes and weather conditions while maintaining punctuality
- Complete daily trip logs and incident documentation
- Participate in mandatory safety training and drills
Qualifications
- Valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations in past 5 years)
- Georgia Child Abuse Registry clearance
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Fluent English communication skills
