Responsibilities
- Safely operate district-provided school buses on established routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle cleanliness
- Implement student management protocols for safe boarding/deboarding
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety standards
- Maintain accurate transportation records and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- School Bus Endorsement and Passenger Transport Certificate
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clear background check and driving record
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist mobility-impaired students
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
