Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following all traffic laws and school district policies
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance standards are met
- Supervise student boarding, exiting, and behavior during transit
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation supervisors
- Adhere to emergency protocols and student safety procedures
- Assist students with mobility needs and special accommodations
Qualifications
- Valid Oklahoma Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years)
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Commitment to student safety and punctuality
