Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Enforce safety protocols during loading/unloading procedures
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Manage student behavior with firm yet compassionate guidance
- Adapt to route changes and weather conditions
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class B with P endorsement)
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Patience and affinity for working with children
- Ability to work early morning/afternoon hours
- High school diploma or equivalent
