Job Overview:
As a Dump Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting various materials across the San Francisco region. Your role is crucial in supporting local construction and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport dirt, gravel, concrete, and other construction materials.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance.
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment while adhering to weight limits.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Navigate San Francisco traffic and job sites with precision and caution.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules.
- Keep the truck and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating dump trucks or heavy equipment.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and minor repairs.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
