Responsibilities
- Operate Dump Trucks: Safely transport loose materials (sand, gravel, dirt, asphalt) to and from job sites.
- Load and Unload: Assist with loading the truck bed and ensuring proper weight distribution before departure.
- Pre-Trip Inspections: Perform thorough daily inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Maintain Records: Keep accurate logs of driving hours and mileage as required by federal regulations.
- Site Safety: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety guidelines and site-specific safety protocols.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Report any mechanical issues immediately and keep the truck clean and organized.
- Communication: Maintain clear radio communication with site supervisors and flaggers.
Qualifications
- Driver's License: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- No Experience Necessary: Prior commercial driving experience is a plus, but not required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for identifying potential safety hazards and mechanical issues.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly with dispatch and site managers.
- Reliability: Must have a reliable means of transportation to the job site.
- Background Check: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
